Vision
Statement
"St Mary’s College is a place where we all
protect and care for each other. St Mary’s is a safe
environment. We are involved in good sporting activities
and other good activities such as public speaking and
writing competitions. The classes go from P-10, so students
don’t have to change schools at year 7." - Student.
Year 7.
St.
Mary's College, drawing on its links to the Mercy
tradition, aims to...
Create a secure and happy learning environment where all
may experience the light and compassion of Jesus in every
aspect of school life.
Be a place of diverse learning, where the spiritual,
emotional, intellectual, social and physical needs of
students are recognised and where members of our school
community are encouraged to strive towards excellence in
all their endeavours.
Live by our motto, "Protect and Care for Us", and promote a
Christian atmosphere where the needs of all are mutually
respected and each person's gifts and talents are
acknowledged, developed and affirmed.
Support all in developing the courage and confidence to
serve others and provide students with opportunities to
develop leadership skills which enable them to be creative
and critically active in society.
Actively encourage and provide opportunities for
participation in Sacramental and Liturgical celebrations
within the parish community to explore and celebrate life
in the context of our Catholic Fath.
Provide a pastoral and supportive environment in which all
feel a true sense of belonging, where personal worth and
self-esteem are valued and fostered.
